Baby Cocoon Pattern Available

I knitted a red cocoon for the baby. This cocoon is smaller than the pink one I knit. Good for a preemie or little new born. It is double and can be cuffed 3-4 inches. It is 16 1/2″ wide and 20 1/2 inches to the top fold of the rib. Alexandria is 7 lbs, so I think any baby smaller could wear this as it is a little tight. After these pictures I steamed the knitted cocoon to make it softer and stretch a little in order to fit better. Knit with 1 strand 2/17 and 1 strand 2/24 tension 8.

I have knitted sweaters, vests and socks out of the 3/15 acrylic cone yarn for machine knitting and love it. I would guess it to be a fingering weight or light weight sport weight yarn, and sock weight yarn.

Our 2/17 Team Acrylic machine knitting cone yarn is a light weight fingering weight yarn. Handknitters would use a size 1 needle. Also these yarns can be knit together using several strands in order to create a heavier yarn. You have seen those afghan kits that use a lot of different strands of yarn together well you can do that with our yarns and create your own kit.

3/15 Acrylic Knitted Vest

Machine Knitted 3/15 Rust Marl Vest

I designed and knitted this vest on my 965i knitting machine.  The yarn I used is 3/15 Rust Marl Acrylic from Stephanie’s Studio & Yarn. I knit one strand tension 8. Pattern was published in Stephanie’s Mail-order Newsletter. Deborah is modeling the Vest for us. This is an easy pattern to follow as it is in stockinette stitch with no sleeves. The neck band is in 2×2 rib and hemmed.
